Sanders' fight for the little guy spans more than three decades. Whether suing banks, insurance companies, or Fortune 500 powerhouses for small businesses or individuals, Sanders' view is that small firms can have advantages over larger firms in efficiency, flexibility, and responsiveness. Being out-manned doesn't have to mean out-gunned. Lawyers in this small firm have consistently been competitive with larger firms and, significantly, have been efficient enough to handle business litigation cases on a contingency basis, a service not offered by many firms.
Of course, not every case can or should be taken. However, Sanders' hope has been that deserving folks who can be helped toward a just result will find competence, hard work, and dedicated effort in the firm. Cases ranging from protecting small businesses' intellectual and tangible property, defending borrowers against over-reaching banks, enforcing contract rights, protecting landowners from forced taking of land, enforcing individual rights against government, protecting consumers from fraud and over-reaching, and generally helping folks with complex litigation issues mark the legal services Sanders' firm has offered.
There have been times when larger companies have engaged Sanders to assist in a battles between equals. Regardless of client size, his pledge is to try to give quality service at reasonable cost which gives every client a fair shake.
On a community level, Sanders has supported and/or led numerous religious, charitable, school, and civic projects, endeavoring to give back to a community that has been generous with him and his family. He has also taught Business Law and Organizations for several years at Austin College on an adjunct professor basis.
